I'm very sorry for not posting for a long time! I will make it up to you, i promise ;)
But i am very sorry to announce that i will have to make you jealous again, this time by telling you that i got tickets to see skrillex on the 28th of april!
His music is okay, but his show is AWESOME and i am really excited already!
On october 24th, Falling in Reverse released a new music video for the song 'I'm Not A Vampire'.
I was super excited because this is one of my favourite songs of their debut album. And i love the video now too! The video takes place in rehab, which has got to do with Ronnie's drug addiction. In the beginning it also says 'Reality Rehab' in the video, which has got to do with Ronnie's comeback. It's all so surreal, he left Escape The Fate, went to prison and came back stronger than ever. They need a reality check sometimes.
Enough said, enjoy this amazing video!
I just wanted to make a long random post. I think it's called: 'avoiding the studying i should actually be doing for my exam week.'
Anyway, there is going to be a new Wolfmother album on November 7th. Excited! It will be the first album with their new drummer.
I am listening to this at the moment:
Love this song so much! I just adore DeWolff! Seen them live 2 weeks ago and again it was G-R-E-A-T! The boys are so young, yet they have such a mature sound. They don't even have a bass player and they don't need it, they rock! Plus they are really cute, that's just a nice extra ;)
Cool news! Dave Grohl is replacing the drummer for Cage The Elephant for a certain time, because he is sick or something. It's so cool to see Dave Grohl play the drums again. Just like he does in Them Crooked Vultures. I think i like him better as a drummer than as a singer (he is a good singer though, he is just a brilliant drummer).
I am very annoyed by the fact that Kink FM is off the radio... I want Kink FM back!!! Or at least give us a radio station that plays good alternative music.
Well i think i've bored you enough, so now i really have to start studying byexxxxxxxxxx
OH MY GOD!!!!
Red Hot Chili Peppers was yesterday and it was A-MA-ZING!!! I still can't believe i've actually seen them live. Damn, it was so great. Funny is that i have exam week this week and today i had maths and dutch but i really don't give a %&$( if i fail, RHCP is so worth it! Wow. I don't have enough words.
Flea is just a brilliant bass player, anthony is just as good live as on CD, Josh is the best possible replacement they could've found for John and Chad is so energetic.
So for you, this song. It's been stuck in my head since the concert and damn i want to go back and re-do yesterday!
There is this Australian-Belgian Singer-songwriter (that's a mouth ful) who is starting to break through in the music scene. More the poppy music scene though, which i normally don't like, but his music is beautiful!
His real name is Wouter de Backer. Gotye is a name his mother gave him when he was little.
The song i wanted to show you, called Somebody That I Used To Know featuring Kimbra, is a big hit in The Netherlands. It's just beautiful.
Again another post about Nirvana. I can't help it, they're my favourite band and they always will be. Today was the Nevermind documentary on television and immediately after that a concert of Nirvana in Paradiso. I have watched them both and got reminden again why i love Nirvana so much. They're brilliant, i would give up everything to see them live.
Two songs have been stuck in my head for the past weeks, so I thought it would be fun to share them with you.
Caution! Can be dangerous for you/family/friends when the songs get stuck in your head too. (you'll be the one who will be singing them all the time and they'll be the ones who have to deal with you singing ;p)
Wolf Gang - Lions in Cages
Btw, i have also seen them live (on lowlands) which was cute :)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Brendan's Death Song
One of my favourite songs of their new album, I'm With You.
Two weeks ago, I have been to a free festival in Tiel. Appelpop. It's small festival, completely loaded with people. It's so crowded! But anyway, i had a great time with my friends. The line-up is usually not that great, most of the time 2/3 great bands, but the atmosphere is good :)
I wanted to make this post to show you two of my own videos (:D) and to promote the bands, because they really deserve to be promoted.
The first one is De Staat.
De Staat - Ah I See
This is one of the most original bands in the Netherlands. They use a big machine (which you see at the middle of the stage) in a song. They have a unique sounds and a unique performance. From the clothes to the instruments used (in this video they use a steering wheel as an instrument), De Staat is different. I love it!
DeWolff - Seashell Woman
DeWolff is one of my favourite bands at the moment. I have seen them on Lowlands, Appelpop and i am going to see them again on october 8th. Three young boys, two brothers and a friend, who make music like they've been in this business for many years. They don't even have a bass player (even though the keyboard player plays the bass sometimes) and still manage to have a warm and 'full' sound. They have catchy rock 'n roll songs which make the whole crowd go crazy. If DeWolff goes on like this, we'll hear a lot more from them!
Like I promised, a video of one of the songs of the Kasabian album! I had a really hard time chosing which one to put in this post, so i grabbed my ipod, pressed shuffle and the first one that came up was re-wired (which i forgot to recommend btw).
Enjoy!
I think i am going to post all the songs of the album, because i like all of them except one. So if you want to hear more, stay tuned!
Kasabian did it again! Last friday they realeased their 4th album already, called Velociraptor! After kasabian, empire and west ryder pauper lunatic asylum another masterpiece. They re-invented theirselves again, without losing their unique kasabian-sound.
This album has got catchy lyrics, electronical beats yet still a rock 'n roll attitude. I just love it!
I am on the iPad now, so i will post a video of one of the songs later. In the meantime, you guys can also look the songs up for yourselves ;) i recommend i hear voices, let's roll just like we used to, days are forgotten, switchblade smiles, man of simple pleasures and la fee verte. Enjoy!
GUYZ! I HAVE HAD THE BEST WEEKEND OF THIS YEAR! LOWLANDS! OMG IT WAS PERFECT! JUST PERFECT!
We had to wait 2 hours for a freaking bus, 4 hours for the lowlands-bracelets (which are fucking ugly btw) and it rained a lot on our first day, but the next three days made up for that.
I can't really explain why i feel so good @ Lowlands, it just makes me feel at home. The music, the atmosphere, the people, just everything is good!
My favourites this weekend were: Crystal Castles, Fleet Foxes, Skrillex, Omar Souleyman and Emalkay.
So.. Crystal Castles. Sat there an hour before they began, but hey! At least we stood in the middle, at the fence, which is completely at the front. They started 15 minutes too late and ended 5 minutes too early, but their show is so great! Creepy, intimidating, dark. Perfect. I even touched Alice Glass' hand!
(sorry for the quality of this video)
Then Fleet Foxes. Again, sat there an hour before they begain and again stood at the fence. They were very modest. When they came on stage, everyone clapped and they couldn't believe the reaction of the people was so good. I don't know why this is, because their music is beautiful. And live is even better! Goosebumps throughout the whole show.
Skrillex. YES OH MY GOD! This is what you can hear in one of his songs and this explains my thoughts about the show completely. That was the biggest party i had ever seen, fucking hell. Everyone was covered in sweat from head to toe. My shirt was wet, just soaking wet. I love Skrillex, he brings so much energy on stage and people pick it up and go crazy.
(sorry for the quality of this video)
Omar Souleyman. I went there as a joke, but it turned out to be amazing! He is from Syria and gets to play on a lot of weddings and parties there. When i saw he was coming to Lowlands, i thought: WHAT THE HELL? Then i listened to the music and thought: why not check it out just for fun? Well it was fun, a lot of fun! The whole x-ray was loaded and everyone had a blast!
(sorry for the quality of this video)
And last but not least, Emalkay. One of my favourite dubstep producers and the last artist to play in the x-ray. I thought this was going to be amazing and i was right! I love his music and it was so good live.
You guys know how much i love Ronnie Radke, right? Well, his new band Falling In Reverse released their debut Album! It's called The Drug In Me Is You.
I L-O-V-E the album! It's energetic, has great guitar-riffs and ofcourse Ronnie's voice is making me a typical fangirl again *squeels*.
One of my favourite songs of the album:
This is called I'm Not A Vampire. I love the guitar in this song, it's energetic. I want to get off my lazy ass and jump around the room. The lyrics is funny, 'Hi my name is Ronnie I'm an addict. *HI RONNIE!* Daddy should have never raised me on Black Sabbath.'
Ronnie is back! I hope he never goes back to prison and keeps on doing what he's doing, cuz he's so talented. Making music is just what he does and he should never stop.
I have returned from my vacation in Terschelling and Croatia! I had a blast, really. It was so great! Had the most fun with my friends in Terschelling and I had great weather and met nice people in Croatia together with my family and my best friend's family :)
But, back to business. While I was away, Red Hot Chili Peppers released a new single, called The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie. This is from their coming album, I'm With You, to be released on august 30th.
I like the single. When I first listened to it, I thought: hmmm, this is... i don't know. But I listened to it more and started to like it better each time. Now i really like it. It's old RHCP style, with a new twist. Can't wait to hear the new album AND see them live!!!
Yay, today was the first day of my official summer vacation! I got my marks back from the test week, and i must say i am really satisfied. One bad mark, for economics, but i didn't do anything for it so hey i don't f***ing care!
Now, i want to say goodbye to you, because i will be going away for 10 days with my amazing friends! We are going on a holiday to Terschelling, an island which of part The Netherlands. It will be drinking, partying and sleeping the whole time i guess, so I will not be able to post.
I apologise for that, wish you all the greatest holiday you've ever had! Eat enough vegetables! ;)
What would this post be without any kind of music involved? You know me...
Therefore, this song from Matisyahu.
My friends think he's a hero and to honour my friends and express my excitement for this holiday, here's this song.
YAY! The first Falling In Reverse Music Video is out! I am crying like a baby right now, Ronnie Radke had been my hero since i first heard his voice and now he's back! He's $8$8)_$3_89R&( back!
This video, The Drug In Me Is You, is why i cried like a baby:
Isn't this great???
His voice is still so lovely! And his looks!
And I must say the band is really great too! I like them better than the present Escape the Fate, a lot better.
PS. Their new album will be in stores on 26th july
I wanted to post something again, that hasn't got anything to do with music. So therefore i though: 'what can i post?' I can never think of something interesting, but then i thought.'why not make a post about something i am really interested in.' So i dug in my mind and found a subject.
PIERCINGS!
I am just totally in love with any kind of piercing. I don't know why. I am just obsessed with piercings and tattoos.
I have one piercing myself, a helix.
This is a helix piercing. I got it when i was 14, for my birthday. This was the only piercing i was allowed to get. Now i am 16, and i think that i'm old enough to decide for myself. I have wanted more piercings since i got the helix. Now i don't know which one to get, therefore i want your help.
I will show the piercings I really like, and you can vote for the one you like the most, okay? :)
Okay, the first one, a septum.
I really like this kind of piercing. I think it looks extremely awesome and tough.
Second one, a lip piercing.
I have wanted a lip piercing for ages, but I don't know if i still want it, because there are so many other piercings that i like.
Third one, a smiley piercing.
I like this one because it's only visible when you smile, that's what i think is so cool. I just wonder if it isn't irritating.
The last one i would like, collarbone piercings.
These are skin plates, on your collarbones. They look so cool! The only thing about these is that it could be annoying with your clothes and showering etc.
Yes people i have a child, he is my everything i don't know what to do without my beautiful and sweet guitar.
It's from Epiphone, an electrical one. I thought i already put a picture of it on my blog but i saw i didn't so i decided to do it now!
That is my baby! Isn't he beautiful?
I love to play really loud music on it and drive my neighbours crazy haha. So far it has been real love between us two. Maybe one day, when i can play a really cool song, i'll upload a video of me playing guitar, but for now, enjoy looking at the picture!
Btw, don't look at that yellow thing. It was protection and i forgot to take it off before i took the picture, because i took it immediately after i unwrapped my baby.
Ok I am so lame, school ends in 2 weeks and always when the end is near i start to get really really really bored. I want vacation! Anyway, I decided to do another iPod Shuffle, so this is #3 already, yay!
First song is *drums* Kasabian - Secret Alphabets
Kasabian is just brilliant! Their music is very distinguishing. This song comes from the album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, one of the best albums i know. Not just because of the songs, but also because of it's concept. It's based on a real existing Lunatic Asylum and every song represents one of the inmates. How genius can it get?!
Second song is *drums* The Chemical Brothers - Setting Sun
As you may or may not have noticed, i am really into electronical music lately, like The Chemical Brothers. They are coming to RockWerchter this summer and i am so upset i can't be there...
Last song is *drums* Pendulum - The Island (Pt. 1)
Again, another sort of electronical music, Drum And Bass. Pendulum live is one big party, i have seen them on lowlands last year which was insane! Everyone was completely going crazy and i think i have never sweated that much in my whole life.
I am very sorry for not posting for a very long time! I will make it up to you guys by posting more soon!
Today i wanted to pay attention to Ronnie Radke's new band, Falling In Reverse, who have a new song.
It's called Raised By Wolves, and personally i love it.
I haven't listened to this kind of music anymore for a long time and i must say that it was great to listen to it again, i missed it :)
So, what do you think?
zondag 1 mei 2011
I had a huge shock last week when i received and email that said Crystal Castles were coming to Lowlands! fdsjklfsj i am so happy! That's why i wanted to post another one of their songs, and this time it's violent dreams, which is also my blog name. Yes, my blog is named after this song, because i think it is so good.
i also wanted to post the lyrics with it, because of the part where it says they sing "if i were you chrissie i'd rather", i don't know if it's me but i can't hear it... anyway, it is still a great song!
Won't you let me? Well, you know I can drive Please, let me take your car Won't you let me take your car? Two policemen in the car behind Not on duty but they stopped And just before the car caught fire Bravely they pulled her off Bravely they pulled her off Bravely they pulled her off Bravely they pulled her off If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather If I were you Chrissie I'd rather
Me and a friend went to see Scream 4 in the cinema last Saturday and i really liked the movie. My friend didn't like it as much as me, as she was too scared haha.
But anyway, my opinion. Good cast, a lot of good scary moments and even some funny moments. It was just like a Scream movie should be; scary, predictable and gore.
If you can handle blood and murders, i suggest you get your ass of the chair and go to the cinema, because it's worth it.
Omg, the new Foo Fighters album was officially released on April 11th and i am totally in love with it since i first heard it! It is called Wasting Lights. I have three favourite songs of this album, Bridge Burning, Rope and White limo, therefore i will put all three of them in this post. :)
The first one, Bridge Burning. A piece of this song was the teaser that you could hear a few months ago, which i also posted on my blog. Really love the song.
This is White Limo, I didn't know Dave Grohl could scream this good!
One of my favourite songs at the moment, Rope, from my favourite album at the moment. This is the best song of the album in my opinion. I really love this song, it is just so brilliant.
I believe Lady Gaga has made a new song. I don't know whether this is the real one, but i think so as it is uploaded by LadyGagaVEVO.
I know a lot of people dislike her, but i LOVE her. She is brilliant, just because she doesn't care about fashion trends or what people expect from her, she does her own things. I adore her.
The new song is called Judas. Enjoy!
I think I've found a new love. Shoes! Ok, every girl loves shoes, but I the ones I love are not just some shoes, they're Creepers! I love the urban and edgy look.
Tonight is Glee on TV again and to get in the mood, another song i really liked. This episode was also one of my favourite episodes. So cute! Anyway, this is Marry You, performed by Glee. Enjoy!
I have way to many sunglasses, around 20 or something... But still, i keep buying them. Last friday i went to amsterdam, and yes, i bought a pair of sunglasses.
As i posted before, april 5th was Kurt Cobain's date of death. On that day, inhabitants of Aberdeen, the place where he has lived for a long time, have honoured him with a monument.
It is a big guitar and on it is a piece of lyrics from On A Plain. The monument has been put next to the Young Street Bridge, which is a special place because the bridge is sung about in Something In The Way.
So this is Ipod shuffle #2, a post where i grab my iPod, go to songs and press shuffle. The first three songs that come up will be discussed. Sometimes, when i'm bored i get my ipod, go to songs, press on shuffle and listen to a song for 5 seconds and press on next. Just because i'm bored. I did that during maths one time and my teacher, who allows us to listen to music as long as we don't touch our music player too often, thought i was touching it too often. So he took my ipod and i had to survive a whole lesson without music. So out of protest i stared out of the window for the remaining 40 minutes. Ha!
Ok, so the first song that came up on shuffle is: Pendulum - Still grey
I've been really into electronic rock/drum 'nd bass lately, and pendulum is a drum 'nd bass artist. I really like it, because the music gives you energy. It makes you want to dance! The electronic sounds with drums go really well together. I have also seen them live on lowlands last year and that was so fucking awesome!
The second song is: Led Zeppelin - whole lotta love
Led Zeppelin is one of my favourite 'old' bands. I think Robert Plant's voice is brilliant and i love their rock n roll music + attitude. This is one of their best songs in my opinion!
And the last song is: Nirvana - radio friendly unit shifter
I don't need to say this again i think, but i am going to say it anyway: nirvana was/is/will be my favourite band ever. This is a great song, one of their more unknown.
So this was my ipod shuffle #2, i hope you liked it!
I am a big fan of 90210 and all the characters. They wear so many cool clothes in the series, but some of the actresses have a cool style in real life too. Just like Shenae Grimes, Annie in 90210. Her style is usually sloppy mixed with chique. I LOVE it, baggy jeans with blazers, dresses with oversized jackets or trousers with vintage sweaters. Lately i came across some photos of Shenae while she was skateboarding and this is one of my favourite outfits by her so far!
This is an outfit i had not yet seen of her. It's kind of grunge/hobo/sloppy/tough. I love it! This is exactly my style. I have an obsession with those boots, the socks, the cuts in her jeans, the jeans, her jacket, the scarf, the backpack, the gloves, everything fits! I love it, i want to have this outfit!!!
I really, really, really LOVE Ash Stymest. He is so gorgeous. All models are gorgeous, but I think Ash Stymest has got some extra, because of his plus and tattoos. I like that, the tough things while he has got such a sweet face, it's a nice contrast. And i like his white skin + dark hair.
He has done various campaigns, but one that really stood out to me was the one of John Galliano, fall/winter 2010.
This campaign is together with Lindsey Wixon. What I love about this campaign are the clothes. Most of the time, i like the high fashion, but i wouldn't wear it because it's not really my style. But this! I would wear these clothes immediately! I love them! I like the darkness in the pictures and of course, Ash looks gorgeous.
Usually, i don't like this kinds of soaps/musical tv show things, but i make an exception for Glee. I don't know why, but i just love it. The voices are beautiful, the characters are all very 'alive' and i like the story too.
I watched it yesterday too and one of my favourite songs by Glee so far came along. So i wanted to share it with you.
This is a remix between heads will roll (by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's) and thriller (by Michael Jackson), performed by Glee.
Ok guys, i have decided that this blog is not only a music blog. It will be mainly music, because that is my #1 passion, but i will also discuss other things.
Things like fashion, my life and other things i like. So be prepared haha ;))
I love love love love love this band. I just had to share this song with you guys. It's called Time To Pretend and the lyrics are so fucking awesome. Enjoy!
A lot of new lowlands artists have been confirmed and i must say i really like a lot of them.
Arctic Monkeys! Miles Kane! Skunk Anansie! Warpaint!
Beady Eye, Fiction Plane and Chase and Status have been unoficially confirmed (more or less confirmed, but not by the lowlands website)
It keeps getting better and better!!!
Okay, so last friday all the names that have been confirmed for lowlands have been put on the website. 8 artists are confirmed and I must say I am really excited about them already!
These 8 have been confirmed:
1. Bullet For My Valentine - I have already seen them live once and that was sick! It was so cool, a lot of pits, a lot of headbanging and a lot of cool people. Although I didn't like their music that much (I actually went to see another band, who cancelled one week before the show), I had a great time!
2. Fleet Foxes - brilliant.
3. Interpol - I am so excited about this one! I wanted to see them live some time, and now they're coming to lowlands so I'm very pleased.
4. Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig - their concert will be one big party I think.
5. Omar Souleyman - I don't know him, but some of my friends say it's great music when you're high haha.
6. Residentie Orkest - an orchestra which plays classical music. Hmmm, no.
7. Trentemoller - I think they are quite cool.
8. The Wombats - Also really excited about this one! Even though I am going to see them on the 27th of april too, I think it's awesome they're coming to Lowlands. I mean you can never see The Wombats too many times!
And yet again, another artist that has been confirmed. This time, it's a band from our own country, the Netherlands! Well, a band.. It's not really a band, it's a group of three/four guys (there's one 'half' member) who make songs. Not my kind of music, though i do like them. I think it will be cool to see them perform live!
P.s. i am thinking about doing a post about my experiences on lowlands last year..
As you might, or might not know, Fleet Foxes are coming to Lowlands! I am really excited about this, as i love their music! It reminds me of the old times, and i love that.
ps. you will all probably think why i posted so late. well, i have been to the city with friends and i couldn't sleep hahah.
Sorry guys, for not posting for a long time! But I will try and make it up to you by posting more this week! This time I have great news, well in my opinion then.
Have you heard of the band Beady eye? Well it's not just a band, it's the new band of Liam Gallagher, the singer of Oasis. Or actually, it's Oasis without Noel Gallager.
Beady Eye was formed in 2009 and they have made one album, called Different Gear, Still Speeding.
I have to say, I really like the music. And it's not like they are trying to bring Oasis or Noel down. It's a different band which has completely nothing to do with them anymore. This is a good thing.
This is one of their best known songs, called The Roller. Personally, i love it!
Lowlands has its first artist! It's a danish electronical band, called Trentemøller. On the site of the band stood that they are playing on lowlands on the 21st of August, which is sunday.
Ok, so I decided to do something fun for this post. I went to the songs on my ipod and pressed shuffle. The first three songs that came up will be discussed in this post :D So the first song that came up was: Kate Nash - i just love you more
(sorry for the crappy video, i couldn't find a better one..)
This song comes from Kate Nash' album My Best Friend Is You. At first i didn't really like Kate Nash, because I thought her music was too soft and too poppy. This album, or at least this song, is totally different! I love this song. The instrumental part of this song is really good, it keeps building up til the end. And her voice in this song is great. She does not really sing, but screams/talks which i like. It is different and i like different.
I know this band because of my father, a few years he told me to listen to rage against the machine and i immediately liked them. War within a breath is a song from their album The Battle Of Los Angeles. Rage against the machine is a band that mixes hiphop with rock, which results in hard and loud music that sounds really cool. The singer is a really energetic person and i just love his voice. Tom Morello is their guitar player and he has a character on Guitar Hero 3 ;D (he is really really good). I can't say more than that i just absolutely like this song.
Hmmm, i don't know why destine is still on my ipod, because i hate them. Not too long ago I liked them, but a few months ago destine started annoying the crap out of me. I don't like them anymore. Also, their music is to poppy/commercial in my opinion. I should remove their songs from my ipod..
Last week, white lies released their new album, rituals. I listened to it today, and I have to say I am not too fond of it. I had very high expectations, because their last album was a-ma-zing! But this album.. I don't know, it just doesn't speak to me as much as the last album. Of course it is very hard to make two perfect albums in a row.
There are only two songs that i like, the rest of the songs are just ok in my opinion. Still, I like the white lies, but I believe their album could have been better.
Maybe the next album?
Here is one of the songs i do like, Bigger Than Us.
3 january was the date foo fighter was officially finished with recording their new album. To show what the album will be like, they released a teaser.
It is not much, but you can say that they are playing some heavy shit. If the whole album is going to be like this, I am going to like it!
I don't think many of you know who Shaking Godspeed are, so here a small introduction. Shaking Godspeed is a Dutch Rock 'n Roll band, from the Achterhoek.
Why do I post this? Well, I was watching a television programme yesterday, called the Nederpopshow. It's a music quiz programme, but what I found interesting was the competition between 7 artists of very different genres. Each week, one artist could perform. At the end, there was one winner. The winner got a very special prize, namely a performance at Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. Sziget is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe.
Guess who the winner is? Yeah that's right, Shaking Godspeed. Personally, I think Rock 'N Roll music is very cool, and the stage presence of this band is great, so I hope they give a great show at Sziget!
Definitely a band to watch out for!
Kasabian is busy with writing stuff for their new album. I am really into kasabian, so I am looking forward to hear something new from them.
But lately I was listening to the radio and I heard that Kasabian had said they were inspired by Radiohead for the new album. I am a big fan of Radiohead too, so this was a pleasant surprise. As far as I know they haven't released a song yet, I will let you guys know as soon as I come across one!
I want to use this post to blog about one of my favourite bands of all time, Nirvana. A few years ago, I heard smells like teen spirit. I really loved it and not knowing what song it was and who sang it I asked my dad. He walked up to a drawer, opened it, took a cd out of it and gave the cd to me. I looked at it, amazed. It was black with nirvana written on it in silver. He told me that smells like teen spirit was the song I liked.
I ran up stairs and put the cd in my radio. Of course the first song i listed to was smells like teen spirit, but after that I started listening the other songs. I was in love with Nirvana. It was one of my first favourite bands, even today it is one of my favourite bands.
They are so inspiring, they didn't make music for money. They are very innovative. And they were able to carry out a message. Even though Kurt Cobain is not here anymore, he is still one of my biggest heroes. He will always be one of my biggest heroes, together with Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl.
One night only is a british band, mainly playing indie rock. One night only consists out of five members, George Craig, Jack Sails, Mark Hayton, Daniel Parkin and Sam Ford. In 2008 they released their debut album, Started a fire. Last year, they released their second self-titled album.
This is one of the songs of the second album, say you don't want it. I must say I really like this song. It's very catchy, just like all the other songs on the album. I am very positive about it!
This is ronnie radke, former escape the fate singer. He got kicked out of escape the fate in 2008 and went to jail the same year. Escape the fate got a new singer, Craig Mabbitt. I preferred them with Ronnie, i love his lyrics and his voice better.
But anyway, Ronnie got out of jail in december 2010 and has formed a new band. Falling in reverse. Consisting out of Derek, Jacky, Nasty and Ronnie. They don't have a drummer yet, but as soon as they have one, I'll let you guys know. Ronnie has a lot of lyrics that he wrote while he was in jail, so we have a lot to look forward to!
I wanted to blog something about a band that i saw live last year, Mumford and Sons. They performed at lowlands, which is a musicfestival in the Netherlands. They were so great! I was so amazed by how great they were live.
In my opinion, they are one of the best musicians of this time. They don't make music for money and fame, they make music because that is what they want to do. You may not like their style, but you can't deny that they are real musicians. They have a message and they are able to pass that on to the listeners.
First, a general introduction:
the wombats is a british postpunkband, consisting out of three members. Matthew Murphy, Dan Haggis and Tord Øverland-Knudsen. They mainly play indie, punk, pop and new wave music.
Lately, they had a huge hit with the single Tokyo (vampires & wolves), of their not yet released album.
But they released a new single, called jump into the fog. I think it's a really good song, it's different from what they've done before and it's catchy. I am looking forward to the new album!
I am going to see them on the 27th of april. Can't wait!
